> Catholicos Karekin II is facing trial as his feud with Armenia’s prime minister deepens. He and six other clerics are accused of failing to reinstate a bishop who had been defrocked. The case places the church leader at the centre of an escalating dispute with the government. The allegations concern the bishop’s reinstatement, rather than a broader charge described in the report.
