> A former governor of Mexico’s southern Guerrero state has been arrested. Authorities said he allegedly ordered evidence destroyed that could have helped clarify what happened to 43 students who disappeared in 2014. The arrest links the former governor to an alleged effort to obstruct the search for information about their whereabouts. The case remains focused on the fate of the missing students and the handling of evidence connected to their disappearance.
