> Ousted former leader Sheikh Hasina has announced a plan to return to Bangladesh. The 78-year-old made the decision despite facing the death penalty in the country. Her stated intention to come back therefore carries significant political sensitivity, given the severe legal consequence she faces. The announcement places her planned return directly alongside the possibility of a death sentence.
