> On the anniversary of the atomic bombings, Hiroshima survivors and activists warn that Japan’s expanding military posture could weaken its longstanding commitment to pacifism. Speaking to DW, they express concern that the country’s buildup is eroding a principle associated with its postwar identity. Their message is directed against further rearmament and in favor of preserving Japan’s pacifist commitment.
