> China’s foreign ministry said on Wednesday that Beijing had lodged a complaint with Japan over Tokyo’s newly issued defence white paper. Chinese officials accused Japan of exaggerating the threat posed by China. They also objected to what they described as “unwarranted comments” concerning Taiwan. The complaint adds to diplomatic friction between the two countries over security issues.
