> President Isaac Herzog has selected Gadi Eisenkot to have the first chance to form Israel’s next government. Eisenkot’s anti-Netanyahu alliance won 48 seats and Netanyahu’s bloc secured 53 in the October election, leaving both short of the 61 needed for a majority and setting up difficult coalition talks.
