> Michigan Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed has launched Habibi PAC, a leadership political action committee that can raise money for other candidates. Such committees are separate from a politician’s campaign and can help lawmakers build influence and pursue leadership roles. Leadership PACs gave $79.3m to federal candidates in the 2024 election cycle.
