> Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, a candidate in France’s 2027 presidential election, said European countries should assure Moscow that Ukraine will neither join NATO nor host NATO forces. He called for a lasting solution rather than a temporary ceasefire, said Ukraine should not join the EU, and accused Zelensky of not wanting peace. He called France’s financial support for Ukraine “madness” and “suicide,” saying France had allocated 25 billion euros while lacking funds for domestic services and lower fuel prices.
