> The UN condemned Israeli settlers’ seizure of eight Palestinian homes in occupied Jericho, saying they reportedly fired live ammunition, assaulted residents and threw stones, prompting dozens to flee. Some displaced people lack adequate shelter, and Israel’s military has since closed the area to humanitarian workers. Settlers say they legally bought the homes; Palestinian officials call the sale documents forged.
