> Unions representing education, rail, public hospitals and postal services have called a strike demanding higher minimum and across-the-board wages, tax reforms and better learning conditions. Hundreds of thousands are expected to march Thursday, while authorities deploy about 70,000 police and security officers. Students are also joining; some recent student protests have involved clashes and rioting.
