# China's services trade grows as it seeks new drivers

> China’s services imports and exports reached 5.77 trillion yuan in the first nine months of 2026, up 8.5% year on year. Exports rose 14.8% and imports 4.8%, while transport services jumped 33.9%. Beijing is backing the sector through national plans and demonstration zones. An official said China’s services imports also support global services trade, jobs and growth in other economies.
