# Iran still in talks with Oman on safe passage via Strait of Hormuz — Iranian diplomat

> Iran remains engaged in negotiations with Oman over safe passage for vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, an Iranian diplomat said. Esmaeil Baghaei said the discussions are centered on identifying secure shipping routes for traffic moving in both directions. He added that the arrangements are being considered in light of the national security concerns of both Iran and Oman.
