> The European Union is offering Spain assistance to reinforce its border in Ceuta. The proposal follows an emergency meeting focused on a major migrant influx into the territory last week. More than 70,000 migrants reportedly arrived in Ceuta during that period. The move places EU support behind Spain’s response to the border pressure. It also underscores the scale of the immediate challenge facing the enclave.
