> President Isaac Herzog is consulting leaders of parties elected to the 26th Knesset before deciding whom to ask to form a government. Netanyahu’s bloc won 53 seats and the opposition alliance led by Gadi Eisenkot won 48; 61 are required. The Joint List and Ra’am won 19 seats together and could influence the process. A Joint List source said the alliance is likely to endorse Eisenkot for the mandate.
