> The Associated Press projects that Iowa state auditor Rob Sand has won the governorship, defeating Republican newcomer Zach Lahn, who was backed by Robert F Kennedy Jr’s “Make America healthy again” movement. Sand, the only Democrat holding statewide office in Iowa, called the result a significant victory as his party seeks to rebuild its standing in the state.
