> Democrat Adam Hamilton defeated Republican incumbent Roger Marshall in a closely contested Kansas Senate race, according to Associated Press projections. He is the first Democrat to win a Senate seat in the state since 1932. The contest was considered consequential for control of the US Senate, and its $110 million cost was a state record.
