> The Justice Department sent target letters to Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias and other Democrats in a federal probe of an effort to put an Alaska man named Daniel J Sullivan on the ballot to confuse voters. A target letter does not mean charges will follow. Elias said there was “zero evidence of wrongdoing” and accused the Trump administration of weaponizing the department.
