> Binance’s postmortem says attackers combined familiar hacking techniques over several months to steal $6.3 billion in crypto. The FBI identified them as the North Korean unit TraderTraitor. They reportedly used a malicious ad and a fake hiring process to install malware, then leveraged Binance’s internal AI tool to access wallets. Binance says about $2.85 billion in assets was frozen or intercepted and users will not bear the loss.
