> A record heatwave in South Korea has left 16 people dead. President Lee Jae Myung called on officials to respond promptly as extreme weather conditions increasingly became “normal.” Authorities on Tuesday extended a heatwave warning covering all of Seoul for the first time. The move marked the country’s first such warning extension across the capital.
