> A group of 66 US lawmakers has asked the Trump administration to stop plans to send at least 150 Afghans from detention in Louisiana to Pakistan, with some eventually facing return to Afghanistan. The lawmakers warned that people suspected of supporting the US or criticising the Taliban could be targeted there; some had worked with coalition forces before the 2021 withdrawal.
