> A petition urging France to shut down CNews has gathered more than 500,000 signatures. Support surged after a Black man was killed in a racially motivated attack in the Paris suburbs. Critics accuse the channel of promoting anti-immigrant rhetoric; a parliamentary committee must review the petition before deciding whether to hold a debate.
