> A petition demanding that French right-wing broadcaster CNews be taken off air passed 500,000 signatures on Monday. It followed the killing of a Black French citizen of Congolese origin and the wounding of seven others by a French gunman. The 39-year-old is believed to have avidly watched CNews, owned by ultra-conservative billionaire Vincent Bolloré and accused of routinely promoting far-right anti-immigrant views.
