> A coalition of 25 states, mostly led by Democrats, is challenging the Trump administration’s claim that the new tariffs can address imports allegedly made with forced labor abroad. The White House maintains that the measure is legal. The lawsuit brings the states into a legal confrontation with the administration over the tariffs’ justification and authority.
