> The House of Commons Business and Trade Committee says the government’s China decision-making is inconsistent and falls short of its promise of a coherent approach, increasing national security risks and making it harder for businesses to plan trade. It urges controls on sensitive data transfers, clearer trade and investment boundaries, and a ban on goods made with forced labour. The business department rejects the report’s conclusions and says its approach is consistent.
