# Binance users withdraw over $3 billion after hacker attack

> Binance said users withdrew about $4.649 billion and deposited $1.01 billion after the exchange restored its withdrawal function, which had been temporarily disabled following a hacker attack. The resulting net outflow was about $3.64 billion. Withdrawal volumes fell from an initial surge and stabilized. Binance said the October 29 attack could have caused losses of up to $6.3 billion.
