# Iran FM calls US outreach a ‘positive step’ as delegation heads to Qatar for talks

> Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called Washington’s effort to open dialogue a “positive step” but said there were no plans for meetings with US officials. An Iranian delegation is in Doha for consultations on Tehran’s conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, including lifting sanctions and reducing US forces in the region. Araghchi said Iran was prepared for all scenarios and did not rule out an attack.
