# Iran demands reduction in US forces in region as condition for settlement

> Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera that sanctions relief and a reduction in US forces in the region are among Tehran’s conditions for a settlement and possible talks. He also called for frozen Iranian assets to be released and oil-sector sanctions lifted. Tehran will decide whether to hold direct or indirect talks if Washington accepts its conditions.
