> Large-scale youth demonstrations have begun in more than 30 German cities. The organizers hope to draw about 160,000 people nationwide, with more than 10,000 expected at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate. Protesters oppose a possible return to conscription and call for greater investment in education, healthcare and climate protection, along with action on the cost of living. Police have not ruled out clashes.
