> After Novaya Gazeta announced its closure, editor Sergey Sokolov said the paper had been ordered to leave its Moscow office of 29 years and lost access to its donation platform, leaving it unable to support itself. He called this a coordinated effort to destroy the newspaper. Staff will work through November 9 to meet their final commitment to readers, then shut down the servers; Sokolov said they hope to relaunch when possible.
