> Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has formally launched his campaign for re-election, seeking a fourth term in the October vote. Recent polls place him ahead of far-right candidate Flavio Bolsonaro. Yet after decades at the centre of politics, Lula also faces the challenge of voter fatigue. His campaign is built around Brazil’s sovereignty, a message that appeals to supporters as the country deals with new tariffs imposed by the US administration.
