> At least seven officers suffered minor injuries, including bruises and cuts, in clashes with demonstrators at an anti-government rally in Mestre, ANSA reported, citing Venice police chief Antonio Sbordone. The officers were pushing back protesters who tried to breach a police cordon. Demonstrations were held in dozens of Italian cities, and a union said at least 1.5 million people joined the nationwide strike.
