> New York Governor Kathy Hochul says state police will investigate all future sexual offence complaints at Cornell University, replacing university police as the first responders. The change follows criticism of the university’s handling of a student’s lawsuit alleging she was drugged and raped by seven men at a fraternity in 2024. Cornell’s administration and president also face a faculty no-confidence vote.
