> Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has launched a bid for a fourth term. Lula seeks to use the Bolsonaro family’s ties with Donald Trump to frame the election as a contest against submission to foreign interests. National sovereignty is central to his campaign message. The move places Brazil’s relationship with outside powers at the heart of the electoral fight.
