> Russia agreed to a temporary ceasefire in occupied Oleshky, Ukraine. The Kyiv Independent reports that the heavily publicized arrangement, brokered by U.S. First Lady Melania Trump, gives Moscow opportunities to manipulate conditions on the ground, international opinion and the White House. Russia is also accused of discouraging residents from leaving for Ukrainian-controlled territory and of seeking to portray them as choosing Russia.
