> After leaving Brazil for the US, defeated presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro called himself the country’s “leader” in a letter and said he would lead the opposition from abroad. He alleged electoral fraud without evidence and has not conceded. Brazil’s electoral authority said voting was conducted normally and lawfully; BBC analysis found about 34,000 people voted during extended hours.
