> TV Channel 12 reports that Donald Trump called off a strike on Iran after a compromise proposal was made concerning operations in the Strait of Hormuz. Under the reported arrangement, vessels entering the Persian Gulf through the strait would remain in Iranian territorial waters. Ships leaving the waterway would instead pass through Omani territorial waters. The proposal therefore assigns separate territorial routes for inbound and outbound traffic.
