> The Queensland government has released concept images for a parkland precinct around the stadium planned for the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane. Premier David Crisafulli says Queenslanders will enjoy the development for generations. Opponents of the Victoria Park stadium project argue that the images contain little practical detail. They describe them as a “fantasy vision” that overlooks the likely requirements for carparks, roads, transport connections and plazas to handle large crowds. Construction is entering its early phase.
