> Trump said he hopes to hold a trilateral summit with Putin and Zelensky soon, expecting “a lot of progress.” Zelensky said Russia appears serious about talks in Abu Dhabi, where discussions may cover de-escalation in the energy sector and at sea, prisoner exchanges and a possible leaders’ meeting. A call between Putin, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre lasted nearly 90 minutes instead of the planned 30; Denmark’s prime minister criticized the initiative for not being coordinated with other EU countries. EU representatives also plan to join the Abu Dhabi talks. Separately, a Russian overnight strike on Kharkiv killed one person and injured four.
