> Vladimir Putin devoted most of an October 27 call with Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre to what he called “medieval Slavic history,” the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the conversation. The call lasted 90 minutes instead of the expected 30, while an immediate ceasefire was discussed only briefly. A Kremlin-linked source told Reuters that Putin said Russia would not give up its goal of taking all of Donbas.
