> The return journey from Ukraine’s front line had become routine for Frida Stoltz. After another aid mission, the 37-year-old Swedish volunteer and her team stopped to refuel in Pyriatyn, in Poltava Oblast, hundreds of kilometers from the fighting. Stoltz was waiting inside the car when the danger associated with a simple fuel stop became stark. Russian drone attacks have turned such pauses in Ukraine into a potentially deadly gamble.
