> Finland’s President Alexander Stubb and Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre held a joint call with Vladimir Putin, the first direct communication between European leaders and Russia’s president in more than a year. They said they aimed to convey messages about future peace negotiations and stressed they were acting as neighbours, not on behalf of other European leaders.
