> A localized ceasefire took effect in Russian-occupied Oleshky on Oct. 27 to allow a humanitarian mission to enter and enable civilian evacuations and aid deliveries. Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman said the pause should last at least until Saturday. Within minutes of its start, Russian forces launched ballistic missiles at other parts of Ukraine, including Kyiv.
