> Jordan said its strikes in Syria targeted hideouts of armed groups in response to last week’s church shooting in Karak, where nine people were killed. At least seven people died in strikes on Deraa and Suwayda, according to initial reports. Syria denied prior coordination, said five members of one family were hit, and opened an investigation; traffic at the Nassib crossing was suspended in both directions.
