> Brazil's Superior Electoral Court said incumbent President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva won Sunday's runoff. The article reports that with 99.99% of votes counted, Lula received 51.79% of valid votes, against 48.21% for Flavio Bolsonaro. Lula is to be sworn in on January 5, 2027, for a four-year term, his fourth election as Brazil's president. Flavio Bolsonaro said the result was impossible to recognize and called for the election to be annulled.
