> Thousands rallied in Tel Aviv for an independent inquiry into security failures that led to the October 7, 2023 attacks. Opposition figures joined the demonstration. Netanyahu’s coalition has rejected calls for an independent commission, proposing instead a political panel whose members would be appointed by the government and opposition legislators.
