> About 25,000 people marched in Madrid, calling for pensions to remain indexed to inflation and for the gender pension gap to be eliminated. Demonstrators worry the system could be weakened depending on next month’s election result. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has pledged to protect pensions, while Popular Party leader Alberto Nunez Feijoo said his party would keep raising them with inflation if elected.
