> European Parliament Vice President Pina Picierno ended her hunger strike, launched to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Russian-occupied Oleshky, after a temporary local ceasefire was agreed. Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said the truce would allow aid deliveries and civilian evacuations from Oct. 27; about 2,000 civilians remain trapped.
