> France is preparing for another day of cost-of-living protests, with extra police deployed nationwide to prevent a repeat of violence after last Saturday’s demonstrations. In Paris, the route was changed at the last minute and the protest began at Porte d’Italie. More than half a million people attended last weekend, and similarly large crowds may gather again today.
