# Kim Jong-un crosses into China over newly opened bridge

> South Korean officials say Kim Jong-un travelled by train across the newly opened New Yalu River Bridge to China, marking his first known trip abroad in more than a year. Yonhap cited a government source saying he reached Dandong; Chinese premier Li Qiang was also reported to have travelled there. Pyongyang and Beijing had not confirmed the unannounced visit by Saturday evening.
