> US bank Citigroup has been approved to establish a wholly foreign-owned securities firm in mainland China, opening the way for it to pursue more opportunities in one of the world’s largest capital markets. The China Securities Regulatory Commission granted the long-awaited approval on Friday, before an expected meeting next month between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump at the APEC summit in Shenzhen.
